Spring(ing) Ahead

This past weekend we set the clocks ahead by one hour, and that means the beginning of longer days and coming home from work when it is still light out.  It also means trips to the local gardening stores to pick up all the of fruit, veggies, flowers, and plants we want need  to make our house beautiful.

The weather has been extremely mild.  The kind of days that would be wasted if spent inside.  I have only just started my planting (with the perennials pictured above) and I keep dreaming about what kind of colorful displays I am going to create this year.  I can't wait!

This is one of my favorite past creations.  I am definitely far from a professional, but I love the act of putting it all together, and then seeing how it turns out.

Hooray for mild weather and growing things! We still have snow on the ground (boo!) so I am contenting myself with growing pots of tulips & hyacinths indoors and I have my little indoor succulent garden. Maybe I can put things outdoors ... in May!
