It was a beautiful, clear day up in the hills. I just love the view from up here. The mountains in the background look like they were painted in.
Of course, there were a lot of Easter decorations. We all left with little baskets full of plastic eggs filled with candy. Husband and I will be eating it for
These gatherings always mean a lot of games. Apples to Apples is a current family favorite (and easy for a group of 10 people to play). The rationale that people come up with for playing the cards that they do is usually good for some laughs.
I was in charge of dessert and made a strawberry shortcake. The recipe and more pictures to come next week. It was a big hit (and super easy to make).
The blue and green egg on the right is an actual hand painted egg, done by a local artist. It was a thoughtful gift that one of my mother-in-laws gave out to all the women in the family. I will now have a lovely little reminder of this Easter for the rest of my life.
I hope that you each had a lovely day as well. Next stop, Mother's Day!
