Autumn Basics at the Gap

For me, one of the most important parts of my wardrobe is having a good selection of basics. I learned early on that once you have that covered, it is easy to fill in the rest.  Who doesn't just adore a well-fitting pair of jeans with a top that flatters you in all of the right places.  My go-to store has changed over time, due to both my changing tastes and those of the people that buy or design for the store.  Lately, I have found myself turning to the Gap for most of my basics needs.

Admittedly, I was not a fan for a while before this.  I had stopped shopping at the Gap for a few years, because I could find anything there that I would actually wear.  Then about 2 years ago I found myself back in the store, and excitedly choosing several items that I NEEDED to try on.  A love affair as born that day.  Ever since, I have been hooked.

I have put together a college with some of my favorite items that I have been stalking casually visiting at my local Gap store.  I have a feeling that a few of them will end up on my recent purchases list soon.  How cute are the suede wedges?  And who would have thought you could find such a cute leather shift?  Plus, everything goes on sale at one time or another, so I hardly ever end up paying full price.  Winning!

Have you been to a Gap lately?  Did you like what you saw?  Where do you find yourself purchasing your basics these days?

I was never really a fan of the Gap until this season. I'm also stalking a couple of pieces from there-two amazing leather jackets and their colored denim selection! I've already added them to my fall shopping list! xoxo Marissa

I just love me some GAP they always have the cutest stuff. I use to think of GAP as the preppy store but now their store is evolving into so much more :)

I love Gap! I just rediscovered it a few months ago, after not being able to find things there really for a few years. But now, I love shopping there again!!

I was like the Goldilocks of jeans. They were either too high or usually too low, nothing was just right. The Gap has a nice mid rise on most of their jeans. Almost all my jeans are from there now.

I am also a fan of good basics to build a versatile wardrobe.

I am an Ann Taylor fan, but I have picked up a few thing at The Gap in past.

I've become a fan of the gap probably within the last year and a half. They have so many great basics and classic pieces. Love your picks, they are all great for this fall season!
