Creepy TV

I don't think I could host Halloween week with talking about two of my favorite tv shows that are, well, creepy.  I have always been a fan of scary movies, from the time I was little.  The kind of fan where watching  certain scenes in certain movies required my viewing through the spaces between my fingers, and turning on every light in the house and looking inside all of our closets once it was over.  Recently, I have been watching a couple of tv shows that make me check for toy clowns under the bed before I go to sleep (and I have to make sure you know about them too).

American Horror Story:  A family moves from Boston to Los Angeles to try to rebuild their lives after a series of unfortunate events.  They buy an old house that, unbeknownst to them, has a gruesome history of murders.  There are lots of spooky characters and mysteries introduced in the first episode.  This show is probably not for you if you do not like the horror genre and/or seeing Dylan McDermott's bare bottom.  I am personally a fan of both.  I have attached the trailer below (sans nudity).

The Walking Dead:  The zombie apocalypse has happened.  A group of unaffected people are traveling across the country, trying to find a cure and a life without the constant threat of having their brains eaten.  The show is gruesome, but hey, we are dealing with zombies here (and would you have it any other way?).  I have attached a trailer for your viewing pleasure below.

Do you watcher either of these shows?  Do you like to watch scary movies and tv shows?   Have you ever slept with the lights on afterwards?  What are your favorites (I love recommendations)?

Seriously I LOVE AHS. I love Wednesday nights!!! I can't wait to see where its going. I started watching Walking Dead last year but I would always forget it was on! I should probably rent the 1st season and catch up.

I love scary stuff!! But I *cannot* watch AHS alone at night. It's freaky in a way that gets into my head and I can't shake it. I have to watch it on demand during the day.

My only concern with Walking Dead is I wonder how long they can keep it going until they jump shark. But I really like that one too

I haven't seen either but I've heard they're both pretty good. I think I'm more interested in American Horror Story. Zombie stuff is freaky but after seeing Shaun of the Dead, they just don't scare me anymore!
