Leopard vs. Cheetah

Do you know the difference?  I didn't until husband explained it to me.  Yeah, I have probably incorrectly commented on your blog about the beautiful animal print you were wearing .  I am better educated now (but please don't hold it against me if I make the same mistake again.  It takes a while to commit this newly learned fact to memory).  The difference is best explained here  (and it turns out, they look nothing alike).  I remember it like this: the cheetah is a cheater...it is just one color.  It took the easy way out.  The leopard is more of a dark black ring with a lighter brown spot inside of it (a fancy cheetah).  You're welcome!

One of the things I adore the most about this trend is the variety of items it can be found on and in so many wonderful price points.  I admit that I am obsessing a little about the Current/Elliot skinnies, but I am also really into the lounge pants.  Which are your favorites?  Are you rocking this trend this fall?  Most importantly, did you already know the difference between cheetah and leopard print?

And my favorite pair of heels are leopard print and I actually wore them as a bridesmaid with a red dress

I think the most common reference is definitely leopard, rarely do I hear anyone say ooo I love that cheetah print blouse. And besides, cheetah reminds me of cheetohs...hahaha

OMGeezy, no way! I never knew the difference. I thought it had something to do with how close together the spots were or something like that. I think it's fascinating that black jaguars still have spots. It's like a black-on-black thing you can only really see in light. I kinda want someone to make a dress like that ... in a jaguar print.

erin ~ love all of these = especially 3 & 10! and yes, i guess i did in a way spot {pun intended} the difference between the two patterns ~ but in a subconscious kind of way if that makes any sense? i do prefer the leopard print to the cheetah print myself ~ no offense to cheetahs, i'm sure they're nice creatures!!

Hi, I'm Erin. I am living back on the east coast after 15 years out west. Currently readjusting to humidity and mosquitos. I love to take pictures and read fashion magazines.... and to talk about nothing in particular (ok, and my dogs).
