It All Starts With A Seed

You know how I post pictures like this throughout the year?

Well, my garden all starts here in January.

This winter weekend, we got the party started.

We are a long way from the first picture, but we have to start somewhere, right?  In our effort to have the best garden ever this year (if you remember, we did a massive garden expansion here and here and never quite got to the finished product) we have hired some help.  Now we don't have to do the yard clean up and weeding anymore, so we can focus on the planting and harvesting (you know, the fun part).  I might even have pictures for you of our finished garden project this spring.  Let's hope these babies sprout soon.

I look forward to following along with your gardening progress. Am envious of your peppers there .. I tried a small pepper plant last year for the first time and got only one little pepper from it! Didn't think to bring it inside at the end of the season like Adele did though. Will try again this year (though our season is a long way off yet).

Omg, I'm a serious jelly belly with your garden!! As a vegetarian, my dream would be to have a garden like yours. Sigh... I'll live vicariously through you :)

That's a great project. I wish I have a green thumb, but unfortunately don't. Can't wait to see the progress on this.

I would love to start my own little garden! Unfortunately, I have no idea where to even start. =( I'm excited for you though! =)

we didn't get our garden planted last year and this definitely makes me want to ensure we do it this year! nothing is better than picking your own veggies for dinner!

Can't wait to see what you grow! Is it too late for me to start a (very) small garden?? I'd love to do it this week/weekend if I can but I've never grown anything before.

Hi, I'm Erin. I am living back on the east coast after 15 years out west. Currently readjusting to humidity and mosquitos. I love to take pictures and read fashion magazines.... and to talk about nothing in particular (ok, and my dogs).
