I usually keep my cell phone on silent at night. Without fail, it will vibrate on my nightstand and wake up my husband. I put a washcloth underneath my phone to absorb the sound, but it wasn't very attractive. I needed to find something that I enjoyed looking at.
If you have been reading this blog for a while, you know that I LOVE elephants. I found this phone stand on ModCloth, and it was love at first sight. It comes in three colors (red, blue and gray) and is a sturdy piece of plastic at what I found to be a very reasonable price.

I have had these pug bookends on my wishlist since last summer. Unfortunately, Modcloth sold out shortly after that post. I signed up to receive an email when they were back in stock, and a year later, here we are. Good thing I am patient. Z Gallerie has a cheaper version that is just as cute here, however, these are very well made and sturdy.

I have been working on making my mantle look more "finished" for a while now. I found this vase and these flowers at Crate and Barrel and thought they would be the perfect pieces to add balance (I have large glass candlesticks on the other end). I am hoping to find a few pops of brightly colored flowers to add to the vase eventually. Anyone have any recommendations? I will post a pic of the entire mantle once it is complete.

Seychelles is probably my favorite brand of affordable shoes. I stalked these until they went on sale, and then snapped them up immediately. You would not believe how versatile the colors are. They run true to size and are very comfortable to walk around in. I find myself wearing these to work on a regular basis.

I love how neutral and girly these flip flops are. At first, I was hesitant to purchase them, remembering the discomfort of the jelly shoes of my childhood. I had to go to Steve Madden and try them on before I bought them. Surprisingly, they were very comfortable. These do not come in half sizes, so size up if you are in-between like me.

Finally, I scooped up these two little decorative trays from West Elm. I think trays are fantastic pieces to have in different rooms, both as decorative pieces and as functional catch-alls (or even to showcase something specific).
