I am not a quitter. Once I start something, I have to finish it. Call it a compulsion. I felt that it was important to share this personality trait of mine with you, because is the sole reason I was able to finish this novel.

This is the third and final book in the Fifty Shades series. The second book pretty much wrapped up the main story, and then attempted to start a new mystery in the last few pages. It felt completely contrived. Way too much time was spent rehashing Christian and Anastasia's wedding and honeymoon. No amount of graphically written sex scenes could make this book even slightly entertaining for me. It dragged on and on, and nothing really happened until close to the end. By then, I just didn't care anymore.
I think giving this book one star is more than generous. If you are invested in the first two, it probably won't make the story feel more complete for you. If you have read it, I would love to hear your thoughts.
Next up, Happier at Home. I loved Gretchen Rubin's Happiness Project, so I am really looking forward to this follow-up. What are you reading right now?

Oh my gosh! I die, Erin! I'm one of those who love the trilogy, but your review is bang on! It was my least favourite out of the three.
*whispers* I did like the ending with CG's POV though. Don't tell anyone....
Anyhoo, reading Freedom by Jonathan Franzen right now, which I really really really love so far:)
I'm a bit like you - I feel compelled to finish something once I've started. That being said, nothing could get me to start this book. But I'm glad you saw the series through
That's why I'm not reading or spending my money on any of it! LOL I've heard so many bad reviews. Thanks Erin!

I have a totally addictive personality which is why I've had to cut myself off from Netflix. I did the first in these Grey books but not sure if I could go two more, though I admire her for doing so well with what is basically a Mills and Boons with chains.
I read both Gretchen's Books and loved them! I just read Crewel which was a YA Dystopian...(Wrinkles nose.)
I hated the first one so much I couldn't go on!
I haven't started reading this series and with your rousing review I probably won't. I'm so backed up with stuff to read.
